The Lafayette county engineer is a appointed by the Board of Supervisors. The county engineer prepares all bridge and road construction and maintenance plans and estimates as well as serves as project superintendent of the work. The county engineer prepares reports of progress and payments for the board of supervisors. The county engineer is also responsible for coordinating grant opportunities for construction maintenance or improvements to the Lafayette County road and bridge program.
